Incredible Video: In Cockpit Video Of A Top Fuel Hydroplane Totally Submerging Itself At Full Throttle!

This is one of the most insane videos we have ever posted. The film was taken at a Lucas Oil Drag Boat event and it featured Top Fuel Hydroplane racer Jarret Siilvey and his 8,000hp boat becoming a submarine after a crazy launch. As you will see the boat jumps up and then lands at an angle that sends it, under full throttle, completely beneath the waves! Adding to the awesome and mind blowing footage is the fact that an in-cockpit camera caught all of the action from inside the driver safety capsule! It is wild to watch the blue sky turn into a murky brown liquid horizon as the boat head for Davy Jones’ locker before popping up to the surface. The driver is fine, but it is still creepy to watch the craft slowly fill with water before he pops the hatch and makes a break for it. Safety crews were on the scene immediately to assist him and he was using an oxygen supply so his life wasn’t in danger, but it still compelling as hell to watch.
