Our friends Down Under are huge motorsports participants, and the Australian National Drag Racing Association is full of killer machines that torch the dragstrip on a regular basis.

So when we came across this sweet video, we just had to share it. It’s full of insane moments, captured in full HD for your viewing pleasure.

For example, Shane Catalano went for a wile ride and had this HUGE nose-first meeting with the wall in his Top Doorslammer “Rude Stude” Studebaker.

The impact ended up demolishing the nose of the car and much more after the car got loose and went hard left into the retaining wall. Luckily, Catalano walked away without injury.

It’s a thrill to hear the Australian announcers cover some of the most insane moments we’ve seen take place on a dragstrip – they’ve got a good handle on pumping up the excitement throughout the course of the video.

Engine explosions, wild rides, Top Fuelers going through the traps on fire, cars engine up in the sand traps – it’s all covered in this wild video.

You may remember the coverage we ran of Larry Dixon going for a wild ride in the Rapisarda Top Fueler earlier this year – that footage is included as well.

andra4Damian Harris in the Mining Equipment Parts, Rentals & Sales dragster went for a wild ride of his own when his engine decided to obliterate itself at the 330-foot mark.

It’s simply insane to think that anyone could manage to retain control of a dragster in an instance like this, but he does, and rolls through the traps, seemingly unaffected by the carnage.

While nobody likes to see a competitor lose his ride in any sort of mishap, it’s nice to see that everyone walks away.
